Mark McDaniel

Mark McDaniel has been teaching bass and guitar at Musician's Workshop for over 15 years. He has also taught courses on Music Theory at Christ School. He is a graduate of L.A. Musician's Institute, where he studied under musician legends such as Robin Ford, Pat Martino, Joe Dioro and Jeff Berlin. He has performed with local and international artists including jazz great Dizzy Gillespie. In conjunction with teaching, he continues to play on a regular basis all across Western North Carolina.

"My approach to teaching is to tailor the lesson to the individual student based on that student's interests, abilities and goals. By doing so, I can teach the techniques and theories of music while maintaining the enjoyment and enthusiasm of playing."
