The KickPort Drum Insert

The KickPort is a revolutionary new tool for drummers who want to get the most out of their kick drums. It enhances your sound by porting the kick drum in the same manner as a bass reflex speaker cabinet, boosting low frequencies. It also adds ideal dampening directly to the resonant head, allowing you to remove most - if not all - of the internal materials and reclaim the natural resonance and tone of your drum. Air is focused as it exits the drum through the KickPort, increasing punch. It's also tunable by adjusting the tuning of the resonant head. In short, the KickPort gives you more lows, more tone, better definition and more punch, all in one simple product. It's also a snap to install and remove, with minimal tools - it fits into the standard 5" to 5-1/2" reinforced hole in the drum's resonant head, and all you need is a long object like a pen or screwdriver to push the rubber collar into place inside the drum. If your bass drum doesn't have the hole, that's ok too; the KickPort includes a stick-on reinforcement template that makes it easy to cut the hole yourself with an X-ACTO knife.
