Musician's Workshop® is proud to announce an exciting new program from Taylor: Build to Order. Sometimes, having a great guitar just isn't enough - you have to have the perfect guitar, built just for you. That's what Build to Order is all about. You'll team up with some of Taylor's most experienced and talented craftspeople to build a guitar from scratch, chosing from a wide variety of styles and options in nearly 40 different categories, many not available on production model Taylor guitars.
Pictured right: Jumbo 12-string with AA-grade Hawaiian koa, edgeburst, Florentine cutaway, figured maple binding and gothic fretboard inlay (left); Dreadnought with Macassar ebony back / sides, premium Adirondack spruce top, Venetian cutaway, Green Heart abalone top trim and rosette, and tree fretboard inlay (right).
If you aren't sure exactly which options to choose - perhaps you've only settled on a particular tonewood or shape - the Taylor team can help. With many years of experience and hundreds of thousands of great guitars already bearing the Taylor logo, they've learned quite a bit about what makes an excellent instrument. They know how to consistently deliver great tone, great playability and impeccable craftsmanship, and which woods and shapes match up best with certain types of players. They're there for you every step of the way through the Build to Order process, answering questions and making suggestions to ensure that you get the Taylor guitar you've always dreamed of.

Build to Order isn't just for steel-string acoustics. You'll find a similarly enticing array of gorgeous woods and custom appointments for nylon-string and T5 model guitars as well. And since Taylor is constantly aquiring fresh sets of premium wood, the BTO menu gets updated each quarter with the latest they have to offer.

Check out the Build to Order program on the Taylor website for more details and photos, and be sure to take a look at the inlay guide and a sampling of the customization option categories currently available for steel-string, nylon-string and T5 guitars.
