Perry HinesPerry Hines, a native of Asheville, holds a degree in Music Education from Mars Hill College. He privately studied drums under Joy Gentile, and also studied at North Texas State University. Perry has toured both the US and the world in a variety of musical groups. A member of the Howard Hanger Jazz Fantasy, he toured the Far and Middle East, and performed in various show bands on cruise ships from Mexico to Alaska. Perry toured the US with the Jack Daniel's Silver Cornet Band, a 12 piece Dixieland brass band. He has played in cities large and small, appearing in venues from "Good Morning America," to the Sacramento Jazz Festival. Perry has recorded with Buddy Spiker, Crystal Gayle, the Howard Hanger Trio, and the Jack Daniel's Band. |
